Dr. Fridman is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn and New York City. He completed his graduate medical training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and was Chief Resident at The Mount Sinai Hospital Podiatric Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Fridman completed a fellowship in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery & Research at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago. Dr. Fridman is Board Qualified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is an Associate of American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Fridman has authored several scientific papers on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, diabetic wound healing, and tendon injuries. He has lectured nationally and internationally on congenital pediatric deformities, flatfoot surgery, and diabetic wounds. He has also participated in pediatric surgical missions to India. He is currently involved in a number of research studies on the diabetic foot. Dr. Fridman presently holds an appointment at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center in the Department of Orthopaedics, and Weil-Cornell Medical Center. He is also a member of the Department of Surgery at Lawrence Hospital Center. In his spare time, you may find Dr. Fridman gigging the local music circuit with his rock band, [sic], or enjoying the gastronomical pleasures of fine New York restaurants with his wife. | |
