"he made me feel comfortable"

My name is Danielle Velez, I am a 23 year old athlete. When I was a freshman in college I had an injury to my large toe joint that was misdiagnosed. My athletic trainers kept injecting my injured joint with cortisone just to relieve the pain. The injury became so bad that the next year I could barely walk. My foot would turn black and blue and the pain was unbareable. When I came home on break I went to see Dr. Bard-David and he diagnosed me with Traumatic Arthritis of great toe joint -- Hallux Rigidus. I was unsure if I was ever going to be able to run or play rugby again.

Two years have passed since my surgery and I am more active then before. I go to the gym regularly and lost 55lbs, nothing is stopping me. Yes, the limitation to kitten heels instead of stiletos seems to put a damper on some outfits but flats are in this season. As a nervous patient worried about losing my career in sports he made me feel comfortable and treated me as if I were his own child. If it were not for Dr. Bardavid I would not be able to actively live my life.

I have Dr. Bar-David to thank.
